New York School of Interior Design hosted a Faculty Development Day on 9/24/11 from 9am to 2pm titled “Blurring the Lines: toward a new definition of Interior Design,” with the following Guest Panelists:

  • Patty Blaser (NCIDQ President)
  • Dale Greenwald (Associate Principal at Cannon Design)
  • Becky Button (Design Director at Swanke Hayden Connell Architects)

“Dear All:

Thank you to Peter Brandt for organizing and moderating a rewarding and stimulating day of discussion and brainstorming and out-of-the box thinking for all NYSID faculty today at the Grad Center.  Peter put together great questions for our panel (thank you again, Becky, Patty, and Dale) and guided the discussion masterfully — mainly, by giving the faculty the floor.

Our goal was achieved– we now have a host of informed ideas to consider as NYSID continues to strive for continued excellence.

Patty has agreed to return in a few months to speak in more detail about the NCIDQ exam, which will also contribute to the mission of our school.

Thank you again for attending, if you were able to be there today. ”
